-19. I pushed the end of each wing completely down into the holes I'd made, so the entire length of wire would be inside the gourd. Then I put a fair amount of glue, where they entered the gourd. I also put glue on the wire of the halo, where it was wrapped around the gourd stem. The glue dries clear.

-20. I let that glue dry completely, so I could handle it without worrying about knocking the wings loose. Then I glued the arms on. When they dried completely, I used tweezers and glued the broken finger back on and let it dry completely. And then, I brushed sealer over the gourd and arms.

-21. Once the sealer dried good, I glued the gourd to the legs and brushed on several more coats of sealer.

-23. I took this photo of the gourd angel in my hand, to better show the size. Legs and all, she is about 4 inches long.

-24. Top view.

-25. This is a 99¢ piece of oval-shaped wood. I drew a smaller oval on it, in pencil. The angle of the photo makes them look round, but they are oval. I used a roto-zip tool to cut it out.

-26. Before gluing the gourd to the wood, I stained it, a Golden Oak color. The instructions on the can of wood stain said to cover the stain with a sealer, so I brushed several coats of sealer over it. The last thing I did was put several little felt-dots on the bottom to protect any surface Ella might set her on. And then she was completed.
