Quilting on Styrofoam Craft Project

Take square piece of styrofoam apply pattern onto styrofoam using tracing
paper and transfer paper.
Draw picture onto tracing paper or trace a pattern you want to make.
Using the tracing paper apply it to the square styrofoam.
When you have your picture on the square check it to be sure it is
positioned right.
Using an X-acto knife cut along each line carefully, cut into the foam
about half way, this will be to place the edge of you fabric pieces into.
Using your pattern cut out fabric shapes measured to the pattern and
be sure to leave extra around the edges, so shape will really be bigger
than area on pattern, this is so you will have some to tuck into the cut
lines. The color is up to you and the pattern you are making. You will
also take quilt batting and cut each shape out. After you have done all
of this start applying to the styrofoam creating your picture.
Take a piece of fabric with batting the same shape and lay into place it
goes on pattern take edges and gently stuff into the cut lines,
do this until all pieces are applied. For the outer edges of the square
it tells you to fold over to the back and tape down. I used hot glue.
This is simpler than it sounds... Hope I haven't confused you too much,
feel free to email with any questions... I may have missed something...
After you have finished your square you can frame it or add lace to the
edge to dress it up, just whatever you like.. I made an angel, her dress was quilted styrofoam. This is easy once you do it... Lots of luck...
