How to make a Shoulder Pad Angels - My shoulder pad angels have no faces, but you can paint a face if you want.
Shoulder Pad Angels
Supplies-
Two shoulder pads
One 1 inch wooden bead
Pipe cleaners for halo and arms
small flower
glitter fabric paint for trim
Hot glue or E-6000
fishing line
I take two halves of a pipe cleaner, insert into wooden bead and glue. One
pipe cleaner will be for the halo and the other one will be to attach to
shoulder pad for the dress. Bend the pipecleaner for the halo to the back of
head and up, then form halo and twist the end to secure. Glue the other
pipecleaner to the center of shoulder pad, so head comes just above top of
shoulder pad. Then fold both sides of shoulder pad in towards the center to
form dress and glue.
Trim edges of dress with glitter fabric paint and let
dry completely. Form wings with other shoulder pad, gathering in the middle.
I just tie it with a piece of fishing line. Trim edges of wings with
glitter fabric paint and let dry completely. Use glitter paint on the back of
wings and dress and when completely dry, take another pipe cleaner, wrap
around upper body to form arms, curl the ends of each arm to form hands with
needle nose pliers.
Insert wire stem of flower through each hand and twist
wire to secure, cut off excess wire. Then glue wings to the back of the
dress. My angels have no faces, but you can paint a face if you want.
Attach fishing line with a loop to back of wings for hanging.
I like to use contrasting shoulder pads, like I did with these. So save
those shoulder pads and get busy making angels. :)
