Hi, I want to thank everyone for sending me the poem for the salt shaker angels. Here are the instructions. I used
the glass salt shakers with the long neck and widens at the
bottom. I bought them at a craft store for $1.00.
You can
fill them with parsley or salt. I have done both and they
are both very pretty.
When filling the shaker, give it a little shake so it settles, then add more. Glue around top
of shaker and attach a 1 l/4 wooden head. Add the cap towards the top back of head. I used curly hair, and put eyes and blush on cheeks. Take two silk green leaves, these
are the wings and attach to top back of shaker. Put a little white lace around neck, add ribbon and flower in front. I also took a 10 inch piece of green plaid ribbon and made a narrow bow to put in back of wings. It extends a
little pass the wings. Makes it delicate looking. I used green leaves from silk flowers, or you can buy them in a
package. You can even add your own ideas.

Dear Judy,
Your salt shaker angels sound really cute.
I've also made them but I filled the salt shakers with pretty potpourri instead of salt or parsley. I them hot glued a small doily (or piece of lace) over the opening. Then I glued on a wooden doll head (just blushed cheeks & put 2 black dots for eyes). I then used Spanish Moss for the hair and placed the top from the salt shaker on top of hair. I used wire-edged ribbon in a gold color for the wings (just formed a bow & hot glued to back of salt shaker). I glued a small gold bow at neck and that's it! They turned out very cute. Have fun crafting!

I have also just received the poem that goes along with the salt shaker angels.
Thanks so much! I made them but filled the salt shakers with potpourri instead of salt or parsley. I used a small doily or piece of lace to cover the opening at top & then glued on the wooden head. I used Spanish moss for hair. For the wings I used gold wire-edged ribbon tied in a bow. Added a bow at neck and that's it. Your angel sounds really neat also - I'll have to try making one per your instructions. Thanks!

Subject: Re: (salt) Shaker Angels Here are basic instructions
Take a salt shaker, fill it with potpourri, glitter, buttons, confetti,
anything you'd like to fill it with. Glue a wooden ball on the
"unlidded" shaker and paint simple face on it. Glue anything
you'd like for hair, onto the wooden ball. If the shaker lid would
look good on it, glue it onto the "angel head" as a crown.
Glue wings onto the "back". Glue lace around "throat" of
angel.
