    LACE ANGEL ORNAMENT

    Materials Needed
8 inches of 11/2 inch gathered lace
    22 mm Liberty bell
20 mm pre finished natural wooden bead
    yellow/blond "mini curl" curly hair
3 mm white satin ribbon for bow
15 mm gold ribbon for bow wings
10 mm gold loopy trim for hallow

    Instructions

Glue the bead, head, to the liberty bell. Gather lace with a running stitch and gather around "neck" of angel, between bell and bead, secure with glue.

Tie a single loop bow, with tails, in proportion to the angel with the 15 mm gold ribbon and glue on back for wings. Make a small single loop bow, with tails, with the 3 mm white satin ribbon and glue to the front of angel at the neck. A single loop bow is a bow with one loop on each side.

Glue "mini curl" curly hair to head. The hair must be the mini curls not the large curls.

Make a hallow using the gold loopy trim, approx. 6 cm. Glue a 3 inch piece of the gold string to either side of hallow, this is to hang the angel from. Glue hallow to head and hair of angel.

Draw a face on the angel. I just make sleeping eyes with eyelashes, a small semi circle for the nose and a small solid circle for the mouth.

This angel can be made using any size of liberty as long as everything else is in proportion to it. I have made smaller ones and larger ones but I like this size best on the Christmas tree.

Have fun making them, I sure enjoy making them to give away. They look really nice on parcels instead of bows or even just on a card as a small gift.
