how to make a draped angel

Kathy's Draped Angel

The cheesecloth is dipped in stiffener and then draped over the ball and cone.

    Supplies:
    4" cone
    1 white pipe cleaner
    stiffner
    styrofoam ball.

    instructions
This angel is done with the cheesecloth.
The cheesecloth is dipped in stiffner and then draped over the ball and cone.
The pipe cleaner is in between the head and cone and then twisted in front to make hands.
I tie them at the neck and waist with gold elastic thread, then if it gets stuck I can leave it on.

I cut a little slit in the centre to put the flowers in.
I've never sprayed them gold, just sometimes with spray glitter.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks, everyone, I'm so glad you all like her.
She is really easy once you get going, but messy no matter what! Sue the cheesecloth goes over the pipecleaner as well.

Open the cheesecloth and fold it in half instead of thirds.
To measure it I just lay it across the head and make sure there's about 2 inches on either side at the bottom.
After it's wet lay it over the head and tie around the neck with the gold thread, then tie it again under the pipecleaners and around the waist.

Then arrange the bottom so it looks all nice.
I usually do this on a square of cardboard with a piece of wax paper on top and a nail thru it to stick the cone on.
When it's dry I cut a circle of white poster board and glue on the bottom.
