Recycled Blue Jean Vest Tutorial
Materials Needed:

1 pair of blue jeans
Seam ripper
Scissors
Bias seam binding
Decorative items of your choice
Thread to match
Straight pins
Sewing machine

STEP 1:
Determine how long you want your vest and cut legs of jeans off accordingly; rip open crotch, center back seam and remove zipper in front opening.

STEP 2:
Trim all edges even, eliminating excess fabric in zipper and crotch areas. Stitch center back seam and shoulder seams of vest. Cut out armholes to fit.

STEP 3:
Apply bias binding to all seams, edges of front opening and armholes. Apply decorative items of your choice to front, back and pockets.

I wrote this up as a booth for my EHC club at the county fair. I had a request to post it.
