These are lovely enough to leave up year round. If you'd like.
You'll need nuts, cones, pods, seeds, pits, a hand drill, lightweight wire (#22 gauge), wire cutters and a wreath form.
A simplified method uses a corrugated cardboard circle and glue ( see note)

1---Collect seeds, cones, pods, thistles, burs, nutshells, pits and other natural materials.

2---Drill holes in the materials that have no stems and attach a wire to each piece.

3---Wire other materials at their stems.

4---Attach pieces to the wreath form, one by one, starting with the larger pieces and filling in with the smaller ones. Clip all wire ends close to the twisted attachment.

5---Finish by wiring on a hanging loop.

NOTE: A simpler, strictly indoors wreath can be made using a corrugated cardboard circle with the center cut out. Glue pieces to the circle following the same procedure explained above. Glue a string loop to the back for hanging.

suggestion... Get 'candle scents' .. it comes in small vials of oil intended for scenting candles as they are made... put several drops on each porous item and tie the whole lot up in a plastic bag for a few days.. THEN glue them onto whatgever you are using. You not only would have a lovely little wreath but it would help to scent the whole room!
