Now you tie another piece of yarn around the middle to make the waist on your doll.
|
At this point you will cut the fold of your second bundle of yarn. This bundle is making the arms for you doll.
|
This is where you will tie a piece of yarn around each end of your arms to indicate hands. About 1/2 inch or so in from each end.
Now you have hands.
OK, now you trim all your edges to make them even.
At this point you can see your doll has shape.
|
This is the time to use your darning needle.
Thread a piece of ribbon on the needle and insert the needle at the top of your dolls head and make a bow.
Now, If you want to add a piece of ribbon around the waist for a sash, you can do that.
If you want to make a boy doll, just divide the skirt part in half and tie the ends as you did the arms.
For the boy you can add a bow tie around his neck.
Here are the boy and girl finished.
