MATERIALS NEEDED:
WOOD BASE: 6 1/2 INCH SQUARE PIECE OF WOOD ( thick one is better) I buy these at A C Moore craft store) have tried the thinner wood, but they tend to warp..... they your project is ruined. experience speaking!!!!!!

TWO IVY BOWLS (I get these at walmarts)
ONE 6 OR 8 INCH CROCHET DOILEY (Check out the dollar stores for those, lol can't beat the price) I used the 8 in. on this one. WHITE OR ECRU COLOR MATCH THIS WITH YOUR COLOR USED FOR LAMPSHADE LACE. SIX INCH does not go over sides, so if you want more wood showing use the 6"

ONE YARD OF DRAW STRING LACE AT LEAST 5" WIDE (I use wyla pattern 70093-041-020-00 purchased at JoAnn store I buy the whole spool when they have the 40% off coupon..... get lot's of lamps out of one spool) COMES IN WHITE AND ECRU COLOR...... MATCH TO DOILY COLOR USED.

ONE ORNAMENT OF CHOICE FOR INSIDE LAMP....... NO TALLER THAN 4 1/4 INCHES HIGH AND 2 1/4 INCH WIDE ( dollar tree always has lots of these types of ornaments) but if you find one you like and intend on making more lamps buy up a few !

RIBBON OR OTHER TYPE OF EMBELLISHMENT FOR CENTER (I ALSO LIKE TO USE LACE APPROX. 1/4 INCH SIZE so it doesn't take away from your ornament view) OTHER EMBELLISHMENTS AS PER YOUR TASTE FOR DECORATION BUT NOT A NECESSITY!
(EX: THE WOOD AND LOVE BIRDS I USED ON THIS LAMP) I have also used moss and flowers around the bottoms of lamps .

SMALL GLASS VOTIVE CANDLE HOLDER
SMALL VOTIVE CANDLE i use these in the top of the lamp and add a little warning tag that says do not leave lite candle un attended! decorative purpose only and This is not a toy! keep away from small children.

OTHER SUPPLIES:
STAIN FOR YOUR WOOD
E600 GLUE (WILL HAVE A SMELL FOR AWHILE BUT WORKS THE BEST FOR GLASS ADHESIVE AND YOUR ORNAMENT ADHESIVE!)
GLUE GUN AND HOT GLUE STICKS
TACKY GLUE ( SUCH AS AILEENS)
SCISSORS

DIRECTIONS:
Stain your wood in your choice of stain color Let dry for a few days.
Wash your ivy bowls and remove labels from bottom..... rinse in vinegar water let dry...... if any spots clean with glass cleanerUseing the E600 glue the two ivy bowls bottoms togetherset aside and let dry a couple days AFTER STAIN IS VERY DRY ON YOUR WOOD.

Use tacky glue all over the bottom of your doiley and place on your wood base, rubbing to make sure it is tacked down and in place where you want it to be, set aside and let dry a few hours.
Using the E600 glue on bottom of your bride and groom or whatever ornament you want in your center bottom , cover the entire bottom and set on doily pressing in place..... let dry. I usually let this dry a couple days.

With ribbon or other embellishment, hot glue around the center where the two ivy bowls are glued together, and attach your ribbon etc. You can also use the tacky glue here if you want, but takes longer, as you have to hold your ribbon in place for awhile, so is easier to use hot glue.

After your piece has totallly dried, use your yard of lamp shade lace..... gather your lace and tie around top in good solid knot, and trim excess ribbon off. You can use some glue if you like to hold in place after you have arranged but isn't necessary you can also use a ribbon on outer edge if you like or pearls for added decoration. I usually just make a bow or double bow out of 1/4 inch ribbon and glue that in center.
