Saw some the other day a friend was doing that had "WELCOME" in individual letters glued down the handle from the base of the spoon bowl.
The "bowl" had a small floral and she tied a bow at the bottom of the handle. Really cute.
I make spoon dolls with raffia hair from them.
Will send pic when I figure out this scanner -- in 2 or 3 weeks after things settle down to a mild roar!

I've seen the long-handled wooden spoons painted and then use teacup hooks spaced down the handle horizontaly for key holders.
Use craft wire to hang near kitchen door.

Hi Lynette,
Here in Montreal there is a craft that I did once that was a great kitchen decoration.
On the handle of the spoon, about 1-3 of the way down, you arrange a little floral arrangement; which is best achieved by using some greenery that you can glue to the handle in an "X" and then fill in with some florals, etc, with a nice ribbon/bow, perhaps a couple of pearls....the idea will come to you as you work on it.
I then purchased little rub-on "hearts" which I put in the actual bottom part of the spoon as a little country gest!
Hope that perhaps this idea will help!
Take care and Happy Crafting!
Bill
