Directions:
Use crochet hook size H or 8
4 ply worsted weight yarn

Ch 24
Row 1 - Sc in 3rd ch from hook, sc in each chain across, ch 3, turn. (22 sc)

Row 2 - Sk 1st sc, *dc in next 3 sc, loosely dc in space across front in 1st dc in 3 dc group, ch 1.** Repeat from * to ** 4 more times. Dc in 2nd ch of ch 3. Ch 3, turn. (5 diagonal spike groups.)

Row 3 - (Dc in next 3 dc, ch 1 ) 5 times. Dc in 2nd ch of ch3, ch 3, turn. (5 - 3 dc groups.)

Rows 4 - 11 - Repeat rows 2 & 3. Ch 2, turn instead of ch 3 on last row 3.

Row 12 - Sc in ch 1 spaces and dcs across. Finish off.
