Hi Carol:
The hankie dolls I've seen are simple to make without instructions.
Take the hankie and form the very center into a ball and insert a styrofoam ball keeping very tight.
Take a ribbon and tie around to make the head.
Add moss for hair and gold wire for a halo.
You can pretty lace to the edges and you can add a loop to hang or drape it over the corner edge of a shelf.
A friend of mine like to stiffen hers over a balloon so it will sit nice.
