Christmas mailbox

The instructions are really very simple.
Get a 12" X 12" piece of plywood or anything like that. A 2" X 2" pole about 18" long.
Screwnail the base to the pole with one screw.
Take an empty Large coffee can.( you must save the plastic lid) Make a screwnail hole in the can.
A very short screw with the short screw driver and a hole in the center of the top of the pole.
Go outside and spray paint the base, pole and inside the can, not the outside, and the plastic lid on both sides.

Open the bottom of the can except for 3" and fold down the open lid so it sits flat sticking straight out of the can.
Line up the 3" so that it will be open at the bottom where your screwnail goes in.
Use hot glue and glue a piece of felt all the way around the can with the joint on the bottom by the screwnail hole.
Then let your imagination run wild for decorating the mailbox.

We put pillow stuffing on the open lid, a cheap nest from Michaels and put a bird in it.
We put a Christmas pick on the top, and a large bow on the pole.
We did some in red paint and felt, and some in green. I hope you can follow what I've wrote.

HAPPY CRAFTING AND MERRY CHRISTMAS (early) Shirley.
