Spread fresh rose petals in a thin layer on a cookie sheet.
Put the sheet in a cool, dry place for several days, away from direct sunlight. When the petals are crisp and brittle and crumble easily, pour them into a container that has a tight-fitting lid. Add five drops of rose oil (sold in craft stores) and five drops of glycerin (look in the cosmetics aisles of drugtores or ask the pharmacist).
Close and shake for a few seconds; do this every day for 14 days. On the fifteenth day, add one tablespoon each of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Shake one last time -- and it's ready to go. Keep any unused portion sealed in the container to preserve the fragrance.
