Hi all I got some instructions on how to make a sunface out of milk jugs and hot glue! This is my version of it .

I printed out your pictures and the directions for trying after I move this summer. I'm just wondering how hot glue will last outside if used on plastic. From crafts I have done in the past with hot glue, I have found that being out in the weather, it ends up coming apart. I'm wondering if a better way to go wouldn't be to use exterior goop if you plan on using it outside? Thanks so much for showing them to us.

I used one jug and the sun is about 11" the paint I used was just some Hammerright (sp???)spray paint , it suppose to stick to any smooth surface so I tried it and I did sand the milk jug firs ,just spray with black and when dry sponge some copper on and that is it took whole maybe 1/2 hr to cut and glue and then just wait till dry so very fast and easy ! Sandy all you do as Luci told you , get a milk jug draw some rays and then the circle cut it all out then sand the surface then you hot glue the rays to the circle then go over the sun edges with more hot glue so you will have some raised edges to give it the 3D look then spray paint and when dry you rub or sponge paint some copper paint on it and it will stick to the raised parts . I know clear as mud ! Good luck it really is easy to make . Ivana
