Sharon well I cheated I did not starch the overalls at all I made the legs from 1" by 1"wood (size depends on the lenght ofthe leg of the overalls to the croch ) and added a peace of plywood on the inside that I cut out in a round and screwed it to the legs, then sowed a gusset on the shoulder straps that I could feed a coathanger wire though then added a ice-cream bucket that holds the pot with my annuals .I have watered it many times and it takes no time to dry outside ! LOL I have tried starch ,varnish and varethane and I don't like the shine so I though what the heck I will just leave it as is . The shoes are attached to the leg part from the bottom of the base with 3" screw ! Hope it helps Ivana

same way we do the legs etc on mine. We just screw the base onto the "legs" and then I staple the jean legs to the wood legs to secure them....I put a floral foam in mine cause I use artificial plants in them and haven't thought about the gusset for the top part...will have to try that sometime...thanks for the answer Sharon G.
