Recycle old coffee or tea cups

Use teacups and saucers to create an indoor herb garden.
They're not just for sipping tea anymore! Teacups can be recycled and used in a variety of unexpected ways.

Glue a vintage teacup to a saucer and glue the saucer onto the end of an old weathered broomstick for a unique bird feeder.

Drop votive candles into an array of teacups for an instant candlescape indoors or out.

Drill a drainage hole into the bottom of teacup and plant with an herb you use frequently. Group five or six together in a sunny kitchen window.

Use your favorite teacups in the bathroom to hold nail clippers and files or place a cup on your desk to hold small office necessities.

Great ideas Roxy. Thanks.
I use them for the candles....if you put the teacup upside down and the saucer on top right side up and glue it that way, it is great for the big pillar candles. (I use goop to glue them together) I will have to take a picture of the ones I made.

I use coffee mugs for holding things at my desk like pens, scissors, and other office supplies. I like the idea of using them for a planter too. If you don't want to drill a hole in the teacup, you could always find a pot that will fit inside, and the cup will catch the drips. I'm not too skilled at drilling through glass things and I break quite a few.

Froggie-you can put a few little pebbles in the bottom for drainage also and use very little water Or use broken china or clay pot chips.
