Cardboard Tube Snowflakes

Here are some of the ones I did.
This is a large 3D snowflake. The circles were cut l/4" thick.

This is a large single snowflake I designed. The circles are cut l/4" thick.

Here are two smaller snowflakes I designed.
The cardboard circles are cut l/2" thick. All the snowflakes have a thick coating of clear glitter that you really cannot see in the pictures. When the light strikes them, they really sparkle. I can't get the link to work, so just paint your snowflakes white; spray with glue and sprinkle on a thick coating of clear glitter. If you are going to do this project with children, you might want to cut the circles 1/2" thick, as they are a lot easier to handle than the 1/4" ones; don't look as delicate, but still pretty.

At first I was looking and wondering where the toilet paper rolls were. It took me a minute to realize they were cut Guess I should read first, hey? You did a great job. I'm already picturing them with glitter paint and maybe even embellish them with small beads. Thanks for showing us.

Margie,
I tried the glitter paint. While it looks nice, dipping them in glitter so that you get a thick layer looks better because it covers any unwanted lines, etc. in the cardboard circle. I just sprayed the snowflake with spray glue after I put it together and then sprinkled on lots of glitter. If you put it in a container, you can recycle the glitter that does not stick.
