Is your vacuum getting clogged with dog hair?

With two long haired dogs, my vacuum was constantly getting clogged. Here are some things I do to prevent this. They work...and no more clogged vacuum.

1. Dampen a cloth and put it on your broom then sweep your carpet with it...will help the hair roll into a clump to be easily picked up. Or just sweep the carpet with the broom. The hair will cling to the broom and you just pick the hair clumps off it now and then. If you dampen the cloth with a little fabric softener, this will help eliminate static too.

2. If you just finished brushing the dog, just keep going and brush the carpet too. This is good exercise crawling around the floor. Just be sure you are near some furniture so you can get back up.

3. Get a small rake to use just for the carpet if you have a dog with long hair. Rakes the dog hair right up.

to remove pet hair from furniture, car seats etc....Use ordinary rubber gloves. Rub over the area & it comes right off. Gloves create static electricity & hair sticks to the gloves & rolls right off.

Emergency carpet stain remover is foamy shaving cream....Put it on the stain & use a sponge to rub it in. Rinse off with a bit of water, let dry overnight. Next day stain is gone. It's also great for defogging mirrors!!!!!

To clean silver. Line a sink or tub with foil, add salt, water softner, and hot water. Put in the silver and wait 10 seconds. Rinse in cold water.
