butterflies and plastic bottles

Use 2 liter plastic bottles to make butterflies.
Cut out the part of the bottle the label is on, pin it down on corkboard with the pattern of a butterfly.

Using fabric dimensional paint, I paint the design on the plastic and allow to dry over night, remove from corkboard, allow continuing to dry and maintain its curve, cut out the pattern (picture) and bend back the wings.

Then you can use magnet on the backside of the body to hang on the fridge or tack it up, or stick on a suction cup and hang in the window or glue to a Popsicle stick and stick in a plant.

You can choose the design of your butterfly and the colors.

Plastic bottle whirly

Hello everyone,
today it's so windy here, that I tried my new whirly (sp) out.
I made this a few months ago with a 1 liter pop bottle, have to try to make one with a 2 liter bottle soon. It works great and it spins so funny. Carmen
