I have 1 pattern for swedish weaving.
Swedish Weave Tree Design
Materials
2 1/8 or 2 1/4 yards Monk's Cloth, stitched 1 1/2 inches in from cut edges and frayed to make a fringe (do not do anything to selvage edge), machine wash & dry.
1 8 0z dark yarn (main color)
1 4 oz light or contrasting color yarn
Blundt needle #13
Directions:
Determine Center of fabric and mark with safety pin (fold cloth both ways to find center float).
All work is done with half of yarn length working from the center.
All rows begin 1 float to right of center of previous row.
From row 2 to 7, do on both sides of row 1.
At the end of every row weave 2 or 3 floats on the back of the fabric.
Yarn lengths:
row 1: 1 length of material plus 6 or 8 inches
row 2&3: 1 1/2 length of material plus 6 or 8 inches
row 4&5: 2 lengths of material plus 6 or 8 inches
row 6: 2 1/2 lengths of material plus 6 or 8 inches
row 7: 3 lenghs of material plus 6 or 8 inches
Large Design:
row 1: Begin in center of fabric. Draw yarn in and pull 1/2 through. Work from center to left, then turn material and repeat pattern to the end of material.
row 2: Begin one float to right of center, draw yarn in 1/2. Go up 4 pick up 2 floats , down 4 pick up 7 floats. Repeat pattern to end.
row 3: Begin one float to right of center of previous row, draw yarn in 1/2. Go up 4, pick up 3, down 4 pick up 6. Repeat pattern to end.
row 4: Begin one float to right of center of previous row, draw yarn 1/2. go up 4, pick up 2, up 4, pick up 2, down 4, pick up 2, down 4, pick up 5. Repeat pattern
row 5: Begin one float to right, draw yarn 1/2. Go up 4, pick up 2, up 4, pick up 3, down 4, pick up 2, down 4 pick up 4. Repeat pattern.
row 6. Begin one float to right, draw yarn 1/2. Go up 4 pick up 2, up 4, pick up 2, up 4, pick up 2, down 4, pick up 2, down 4 pick up 2, down 4, pick up 3. Repeat pattern.
row 7: Begin one float to right, draw yarn 1/2. Go up 4 pick up 2, up 4, pick up 2, up 4, pick up 1 1/2 (dividing the float), up 4, pick up 1, down 4, pick up 1 1/2, down 4, pick up 2, down 4 pick up 2, down 4, pick up 2. Repeat pattern to end of material.
To move to next design:
Count 34 rows from pinned center ot center. Stagger design against first row of pattern. Center of small design is found between 2 peaks of large design.
Small Design:
Use rows 1 and 2 of large design.
Row 3 use 2 lengths of material plus 6 or 8 inches
up 4, pick up 1 1/2, up 4, pick up 1, down 4, pick up 1 1/2, down 4, pick up 6. Repeat pattern to end of material.
Sides:
After weaving is finished stitch down selvage on right side of material using very small stitches and catching each yarn.
