Materials: 7 ozs. DuPont Orlon or 7 ozs, DuPont Acrylic (Main Color-MC);
7 oz. Dupont orlon or 7 ozs. DuPont Acrylic (Contrasting color-CC);
Crochet Hook size "G"
Purchased doll head and pair of hands.
Love Knot Stitches:
Single - Sl st, draw up a 1/2" loop on hook, thread over and pull through
ch, sc in single loop (back of st) of st.
Double - Sl st, * drow up a 1/2" loop on hook, thread over and pull through
ch, sc in single loop (back of st) of st, repeat from * again.
Triple - sl st, work 8 above three times.
Body (with MC): Do not join rounds; place a marker at beginning of round.
Ch 2, work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Round 1: 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc.
Round 2: * 1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around.
Round 3: * 1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around.
Round 4: * 1 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around.
Round 5: * 1 sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around.
Round 6: * 1 sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around.
Rounds 7-21: Work even on 42 sts.
Rounds 22-27: Dec 4 sts evenly spaced across each of next 6 rounds.
Round 28: Work even across round; fasten off.
Stuff Body and sew on Head.
Arm (with MC): Make two arms. Ch 12, join to form ring.
Round 1: Sc in each ch aroun.
Round 2-10: 1 sc in each sc around. Join and fasten off, leaving a
tail for sewing arms on to body.
Attach hands to Arm. Stuff and sew to body.
Shoe (With CC): Make two shoes. Do not join rounds, place a marker at
beginning of round. Ch 2.
Round 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Round 2: 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc.
Round 3: * 1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around.
Round 4: 1 sc in each sc around - 16 sc.
Rounds 5-6: Repeat round 4.
Round 7: Ch 1, turn 1 sc in next 11 sc, ch 1 turn.
Rounds 8-10: Repeat Round 7, join and fasten off. Sew up Back.
Leg (with MC): Join Mc in back with sc. Make two legs.
Round 1: 1 sc in each st around - 16 sc.
Rounds 2-10: Repeat Round 1. Leave a tail for sewing legs to Body stuff
shoe and legs.
Dress: (Bodice - worked in CC); Ch 33.
Round 1: 1 dc in 3rd ch from hook, and en ezch st across - 32 dc.
Round 2: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in each dc across - 32 dc.
Round 3: Ch 3, turn, 2 dc in each dc across - 64 dc.
Round 4: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in next 13 dc, ch 6, sk 9 dc, 1 dc in next 18 dc,
ch 6, sk next 9 dc, 1 dc in next 14 dc, ch 3, turn
Round 5: 1 dc in each dc and 1 dc in each of ch 6, ch 3, turn.
Round 6: 1 dc in each dc across, join on right side.
Round 7: Make a single love knot in every other st around.
Round 8: * Make a double love knot, sc in loop of love knot of previous
Round*, repeat from * around.
Rounds 9-10: Repeat Round 8.
Round 11: Make a triple Love knot, repeat around.
Dress Trim (with MC): Join. Make a single love knot around bottom of dress.
Sleeve (with MC): Join at underarm.
Round 1: 1 sc in each st around - 19 sc, join, ch 3.
Round 2: 1 dc in each st around, join.
Rounds 3-6: Repeat Round 2.
Sleeve trim (with MC): Join. Make a single love knot in every other dc around,
join, fasten off. Repeat for other arm.
Neck Trim (with MC): Join at back. Make a single love knot around neck of
dress. Fasten off.
Hat (with CC): Ch 4, join to form ring.
Round 1: Ch 3, 11 dc in ring - 12 dc.
Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc around, join - 24 dc.
Round 3: Ch 3, * 2 dc n next dc, 1 dc in next dc, repeatr from * around, join.
Round 4: Ch 3, 1 dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, * 1 dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc
in next dc, repeat from * around, join.
Round 5: Ch 3, 1 dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * 1 dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc
in next dc, repeat from * around, join.
Round 6: Ch 3, 1 dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * 1 dc in next 4 dc, 2 dc
in next dc, repeat from * around, join.
Round 7: Decrease in every dc around, join.
Round 8: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join.
Round 9: Ch 3, 2 dc in each sc around, join, fasten off.
Hat trim: (with MC): Join. Make a single love knot in every other st around,
join and fasten off. Make a chain about 18" long; weave in and out
of decrease row of hat; tie in back. Put dress on doll and sew up
back. Make a small pompom and attach to top of hat.
