Knitted dish cloth

A knitted medallion dishcloth or pot holder is fun to knit as well as
being pretty and very functional. You can carry it easily with you for
a project on the go! It is worked in sections to make a circle which
measures about 7 inches in diameter. Make it in one color or in a
combination of two colors. Two balls of the Honeysuckle Cotton makes 2
dishcloths.

MATERIALS: 1 Ball - 50 gm 100% cotton worsted weight - Honeysuckle
Size 7 needles

ABBREVIATIONS: K (knit), P (purl), sts (stitches), yo (yarn over), sl st
(slip stitch), psso (pass slip stitch over last knit stitch).

DIRECTIONS:

Cast on 15 sts.
Row 1: K
Row 2: Sl first st, k1, yo, k 12, leave 1 st on needle
Row 3: Turn, sl st, k14
Row 4: Sl st, k1, yo, k12, leave 2 sts on needle
Row 5: Turn, sl st, k14
Row 6: Bind off 2 sts, k1l, leave 3 sts on needle
Row 7: Turn, sl st, k11
Row 8: Sl st, k1, yo, k9, leave 4 sts
Row 9: Repeat Row 7
Row 10: Turn, sl st, k1, yo, k9, leave 5 sts
Row 11: Repeat Row 7
Row 12: Bind off 2 sts, k8, leave 6 sts
Row 13: Turn, sl st, k8
Row 14: Sl st, k1, yo, k6, leave 7 sts
Row 15: Repeat Row 13
Row 16: Sl st, k1, yo, k6, leave 8 sts
Row 17: Repeat Row 13
Row 18: Bind off 2 sts, k5, leave 9 sts
Row 19: Turn, sl st, k5
Row 20: Sl st, k14

You can change to another color yarn at this point or continue with the
same color yarn.

Repeat the last 20 rows, forming second section. Continue alternating
the two colors or the same color until 8 sections are completed. Bind
off 15 sts.

FINISHING: On wrong side weave two free edges together.
