Subject gobble gobblers idea

Here's a Thanksgiving idea!
I make little turkeys for each place setting at the Thanksgiving celebration we have.
I get small pinecones ( I get them free - there is a large pine tree at our church and also at the park), glue some feathers on the back for tail feathers, use pipecleaners for beaks and gobblers, add rolly eyes and felt or foam for feet and you're done.
They are simple, but they look really cute at each place!

Subject Pinecone Turkeys

Here's a simple craft that I do with the kids at school. I might have posted this before?????
Materials

Large pinecones
Feathers, (pheasant, turkey, goose)
Orange Paper for head
Glue the feathers into the small end of the pinecone.
When glueing feathers in be sure to place them to look like the tail is faned out.
Cut a head and neck out of the paper, make a dot for the eyes and glue to the large end of the pinecone.
You can use these as part of a centre piece or on wreath.
