To share God's word of love.

Keep In Touch

It's always good to keep in touch,
With those who are away,
To let them know they're thought about,
And loved from day to day.
It only takes a moment,
For a letter or a call,
To be remembered is a thing
that's precious to us all.

And the dear Lord is no different,
How much He loves to hear
The on-the-run "Hello, Lord,"
Or the chatty type of prayer.
It's never hard to reach Him,
Whatever may befall,
We've only but to think of Him,
And He can hear us all.

There are times we all need comfort,
Someone to really care,
However late the hour,
The Lord is always there.
So bring the little heartaches,
For which you sometimes weep,
Dear child you won't disturb Him,
For God is not asleep.

For you God's always waiting,
Lift not the knocker twice,
You are the pearl He ransomed,
At such an awful price.
And there's nothing more important,
No thing that means so much,
As to love Him and to trust Him,
And to always "keep in touch."
