Pom Pom Flowers

We made flower vases with pom pom flowers.
You can use a yogurt container or a plastic cup.
We put little piece of styrofoam into it.
You dont need much, I used to blocks for 30 cups.
To make the flowers the girls wind the loops between
their fingers until you have a good section.

Cut the yarn of the skein.
You could precut the sections if you choose.
After the yarn is loose from the skein take a green pipe cleaner
and twist the end around the middle.
Then cut the ends loose.

I took the regular pipe cleaners and cut them into halves.
After the flower is made we took another piece of pipe cleaner and put it
onto the stem adn twsited to make leaves.

We covered the vases with circles of fabric with batting.
We used rubberbands to fasten the fabric to the containers and used
ribbon to tie a bow over it.
We also had used a little raffia to cover the foam after we
inserted the flowers.
