Subject: Baby Booties from recycled containers

#### Hi all, I found this idea posted on another bb, by Susan.
I think it is very cute. And this morning, I modified the idea a bit, and my little booties were the hit of a Baby Shower I attended this afternoon.
See my modification following the original idea by Susan. Hope someone will like these ideas. bye Bonny (Granny)#-----------*

Subject: baby bootie candy cups

cut bottom 3 inches from standard plastic dish soap bottle.
cut slit 2 1/2 inches down one narrow end.
on either side of slit, 1/2 inch from slit edge,
punch 3 holes with a paper punch.
fold edges inward and lace through holes with yarn, tying a bow at the top.
use to serve candy and nuts at a baby shower.

MODIFICATION
I wanted to make something in a tiny version of the above booties.
I found some white plastic eye drop bottles that are approx. 3/4 inch in diameter, and cut them off so they were about 1/2 inch high.
Then I cut out a V shape to within 1/8th inch from the bottom.
Then I used a very small punch and made one hole on each side near the top of the V.
I then threaded a piece of pretty thread through the holes.
Pushed the holes so they overlapped and tied a double knot and then a bow to resemble shoe laces.
Next I made small holes at the back of the little booties and strung them together on a piece of pretty yarn.
I tied these to the top of my gift.

The Guest of Honor at the shower promptly removed them from the package and attached them to the corsage she was wearing.
If these are made from larger bottles, they would look better with two holes on each side of the V shape;
the more to resemble shoe laces.
