Cat and Mouse

All Glue No-Sew Bottle Figures:

Materials: Aleene's no-sew glue (in the pink bottle)
a must for use with fabric.
Plastic Bottles (Bleach,Milk, Detergent),
Batting-for stuffing,
1/2 yard of fabric of your choice, trims and accessories.

General Instructions: Clean plastic bottle thoroughly. Using a single edge
razor blade or X-Acto knife, carefully cut handle off bottle.
Continue to cut out areas as needed, depending on the figure.
*For each figure, first cover bottle with batting.
To determine the size to cut the batting, measure around the bottle
and the height at tallest point.

Glue batting to bottle at bottom edge first. Glue seam at back.
*At smaller top area of bottle, cut out "dart" and areas in batting so
that it will fit snugly against bottle.
Glue into place. (Use paper clips to hold while glue sets.) Let dry.
*To determine the size to cut fabric, again measure around the bottle
(add 1" for back seam overlap).
Add 3" to the height (1-1/2" will be glued under bottom of bottle,
1-1/2" will be glued under bottom of bottle,
1-1/2" will be glued into spout of bottle).

*Place fabric around bottle, glue only at back seam and only part way up
the back. Use pins at seam to hold bottle. Let dry.
*If your figure has a "pouch" (Santa, kangaroo, bunny, snowman & bear)
cut out small section from fabric covering middle of the hole.

To form a clean edge on the pouch, snip from middle to edge of bottle
forming "V" shapes to fold under and glue to bottle.
*The bunny's arms are also covered at this point.
Carefully snip fabric to edge of bottle, fold over edge & glue to inside.
*To finish top of fabric on each figure, the material is gathered with
wire and glued to the inside of the spout.
