Bird, Clown and Hulla Dancer
BIRD:
Join a Brazil nut body to a candy head with a 1" piece of chenille.
Insert a 1" piece of red chenille into candy for a beak. Paint large eyes.
Legs are 1-1/2" pieces of chenile with a 1/2" piece twisted on to
each end for claws. Insert colorful feathers or four looped bumps
for a tail.
CLOWN:
Join a Brazil nut body to a candy head with a 1" piece of chenille.
Make holes in the nut for arms and legs. Cut two chenille bumps into
halves and insert the wide end of each half into holes. Turn up at
narrow ends for hands and feet. Hat is chenille coil with the center
pushed into a point. Glue to candy head. Tie a piece of bright around
neck for a ruffle. Nose is a 1/4" piece of red chenille pushed
into the candy. Paint two big eyes and glue red chenille on for mouth.
Glue beads or sequins to nut body for buttons.
HULA DANCER:
Materials: 1 doll, 9 red chenille bumps, 28 blue chenille bumps, 9" length
of white Jumbo. Tie a 2-bump length of red chenille bumps around doll's
waist. Now attach a 7-bump length of red bumps to band to form bodice.
Use a 26-bump length of blue chenille bumps for skirt. Bend into 13
double loops, and slip on waist. Use a 5" piece of white Jumbo chenille
for lei. Wire a white Jumbo coil or tiny flower to hair.
