Boo-Boo Bunnies and Poem

Posted by Brenda on January 29,
This is the poem I have:

When your baby
takes a fall,
Boo-Boo Bunny
is on call.

Wrap me around
a piece of ice,
I'll make your boo-boo
feel so nice!

Brenda

I haven't found the instructions (nor have I looked yet) but they really
are quite easy. You will need one washcloth (not too thick), one rubber
band, a pompom for the tail, a set of wiggly eyes, and a ribbon.

1. Roll up the washcloth tightly starting at a corner.

2. Fold the snake in half like a U (keeping the lose points to the
bottom as you look at it).

3. Fold about 1/3 or so (you'll have to play with it, maybe it's 1/2)
back on top of itself.

4. Wrap the rubber band tightly around it at about a 1 1/2 inches (play
with it) on the folded back end. This forms the head and the two lose
ends are the ears. Does it work?

5. Glue on the pompom, eyes, and tie the ribbon around the neck over
the rubber band.
You can tack down the lose ends of the middle of the body if need be.

6. Then of course the hole in the center is where the ice cube goes.
I hope I explained it okay and you get the general idea. I love making
these to attach to baby gifts.
P.S. Please remember this is NOT a toy due to little the parts.

I got these instructions some time back from another (now defunct) bulletin board. I've never tried it myself:

Washcloth Rabbit (Boo-boo Bunny)

Fold a washcloth in half to form a triangle.
Roll the cloth from the top of the triangle (small end) to the large end.
Wrap the tube around the soap or egg, fold the ends back to make a ball
(this make the face) & secure with a rubber band.
You should now have an over around the egg/soap then a little ball & two
long ears.
Arrange the face seams of the wash cloth so that you have a smooth
surface & move the ears around to make the ends of the wash cloth look
like the inside of the bunny ear.
Tie a ribbon over the rubber band, glue on eyes, whiskers or whatever.
You can make one around an egg, remove the egg & use an ice cube to
make "boo-boo" bunnies.

Washcloth Bunny
Supplies:
Washcloth
Rubberband
Ribbon
Wiggly eyes
Samll pom-poms
Glue

1. Fold washcloth in half to form a triangle.

2. Roll washcloth from small point to long side.

3. Fold rolled washcloth in half.

4. Fold washcloth in half again. Fold loose ends back towards fold.

5. Place rubberband around washcloth 2 inches from fold. Cover rubberband
with ribbon, glue eyes and pom-pom (for nose) on.
The sheet also says you can use these as 'Boo-boo Bunnies' for holding
an ice cube when a little one gets a bump.

Here are two more versions that I have on file:

#1)
Boo-Boo Bunny
Oh so nice
Has a pocket
Just for ice.

When you get
a bruise or knot,
Put a boo-boo bunny
on the spot.

#2)
Hi! I'm the Boo-Boo Bunny
and I'm here to say,
When your child gets a boo-boo
I'll help it go away.

Just place an ice cube in my back
and rest it on the bump,
Then let them hold Boo-Boo Bunny
Until there is no lump.

One tip I would use it that I have always used (and so does my girlfriend) one of those reusable freezer balls. They are plastic and can be reused and reused and reused. They work better and more economical.
