I am arts and crafts director for cub day camp.
We made stick puppets using alien heads.
We also made space capsules using plastic 3 oz bath cups (decorated) and attached to 10 inch square plastic garbage bags (which I precut) with 4 yarn strings (10 inches).
The plastic bags were reinforced at the corners with paper reinforcement rings so the yarn wouldn't tear them.
Wolves, Bears and Webelos had a great time with this.
Next week we are making rockets with paper tubes and cone shaped cups.
Also consider making a pinhole planetarium or doing crafts on weather too (such as wind socks and paper airplanes).
