Just recently I saw on T.V. you use tempra paint mix with water (they didn't give amounts, but I think if you want a strong colour use more paint)blow bubbles and dab your paper on top of the bubbles.
It looked great on T.V.

When I saw this done, the teacher took a bottle of bubbles, added food coloring.
Let each kid dip in a straw just like using the wand, blow thru the straw over paper trying to make bubbles just like with the wand.

Another way is to do the SPLASH effect.
take colored bubbles and a small kids paint brush (the kids where you get 12 for $1) and dip the paint brush in the colored bubbles and swing gently over the paper to release the liguid in the brush.
It looks like it was splashed. Did that make sense?
