This bookmark idea is based on something mymother receive from
her ladies group.

supplies needed
poster board
decorative contact paper
clear contact paper
plain paper
bible verse
scissors
hole puncher
yarn or ribbon
popsicle stick


Pinking shears or any scissors that make a decorative edge
bookmark template (an old rectangle book mark)
glue stick (not a hot glue stick, the type that children use)

1. Type up your bible verse on the paper (use the measurements
template as your guide).

2. With a pencil trace around the template on your paper, poster
board, both pieces of contact paper. Cut out your pieces.

3. Peel the backing off the decorative contact paper, place on poster
board. Spread the contact paper evenly while using a popsicle stick to
smooth out any air bubbles in the contact paper.

4. Using the glue stick, spread the back of the bible verse with glue
and adhere to poster board (the opposite side of where the decorative
contact paper is).

5. Peel off the backing from the clear contact paper. Put on the front
of the bookmark, over the bible verse. Spread the contact paper evenly
while using a popsicle stick to smooth out any air bubbles in the
contact paper.

6. Use decorative edge scissors or pinking shears to trim edge of
bookmark.

7. Punch a hole in top of bookmark and insert ribbon on yarn.
Tie a bow with the tails of the ribbon or yarn.
