Hello everyone, next question.... Does anyone hand out a fact sheet in customers bags when they purchase something from you at shows and/or do you give them your business card also. If you do, what do you include in your fact sheet. I am trying to get all set up for June craft fairs, and this year I really want to make a go at it the proper way. Thanks in advance for all you help on this board, you have all been wonderful!!!!! Thanks, Donna

Hi Donna,
I always give a business card but sometimes I put in a brochure that I made up, it has some pics of product and a little write up including my name address, email etc. I also have a brochure made up for the wedding invitations that I do, those are just on the table for people to pick up. The more info they have later on makes them remember you. I don't know about you but I save every business card etc just in case...and if there's photos or something that brings to mind what they sell, all the better! Hope this helps, kathy

I have business cards out for people to take, and if they make a large purchase, I put one in with their item. I have seen others with a list of the shows they will be at. I think its a good idea, but havent tried it myself yet. theresa

whatever it is I've made. I also have business cards. Think I like the info sheet better, because if they buy something for a gift then THEY don't have the info! OOoooppppssss! Also, sometimes I get into projects I enjoy making for others, but they're too cumbersome or fragile to go to a show. That's when the pics would be nice. Some of my shadow boxes are to be hung, not carted around to bounce apart. Love the exchange of ideas. We all do something different and have different rates of success. Maybe we can improve our success rates, everyone! k...

Theresa, Kathy and Karen all suggested good ideas Thanks gals I have business cards as well, but find that they are small and people tend to misplace them. I do 4 flyers to an 8x10 sheet of paper and keep a stack of them on the table. Of course in my case it is to advertise the shop so it says something to the effect:

These and other quality, handcrafted items of 50+ craftsmen may be found at Sugar & Spice Craft Mall, address, phone # etc. I print these on bright paper so that it will catch their eye. Never seem to have any left at the end of a show so guess people at least take them I also stick one in every sack that goes out from my table and so do the other girls that do shows that have booths in the shop.

I like the idea of the pic catalogue too, especially if you do specific items over and over. Thanks for all the input and I'm sure more ideas will be coming too. I think your presentation and the way you treat your customers will make whatever you give them stand out more in their mind...I also give out small soap samples at some of my shows too or at holidays..one of the gag gift type things (free w/purchase type thing) everyone like something for nothing of course. sharon

or a adhesive tag in which I wrote that the object has been hand-made and also my homepage address. A put that tag on the object. Of Course I also have visit cards on the table. Marcella from Italy

Thanks for the idea of stamping a little card attached to the item. I just attached the price tag, but now that you mention it, a tag with my name and information on it would be sooo much more professional. Thanks again for the great idea. Hugs, Donna
